Programs
Community Closet
Provides emergency clothing to those in disaster situations and periodic community distributions.
Community Toolbox
With a referral from healthy connections, volunteers donate their services to limited safety repairs for clients who are elderly or disabled.
Healthy Connections
The program starts with
volunteer nurse's aides visiting
our elderly and shut-in clients.
The aide assesses individual needs
and then referrals into our own
and other area helping agencies.
The aides provide literature and
education on a variety of illnesses
and programs, while arranging for
free health services through Ohio
University and Athens and Meigs
county health departments. The
program lends out medical supplies
such as wheelchairs, walkers, and
crutches.
Little Blessings
This program is intended to help caregivers meet the needs of a growing infant.
We provide different kinds of formula, baby and toddler foods, and when available, over the counter children's medications.
We can help with clothing and second-hand items such as car seats, playpens and beds, and diaper bags containing a variety of
infant products available and small emergency packages of diapers.
Life Choices
Provides information on jobs, education, available training, and social services to help our clients achieve self-reliance.
Ohio Agricultural Surplus Production Alliance
Distributes fresh fruit and vegetables and turns our farmers' surplus and unmarketable agricultural products into food to feed the hungry through The Second Harvest Food Bank of Southeastern Ohio (Logan).
